| The first in this series (A Momentary Glance, A Light Lunch and the rest of the "Hereford" range), I arranged the cows within a simple layout using the trees and wall as a border. Rather like some classical portraits where the subject's head is quite small in the composition, this picture follows a similar format. Although there is little detail, I created perspective by layering - wall, tree, cows, second tree and then a glimpse of a distant hill rather like the simple cardboard cut outs of a child's toy theatre.
