Pendle and its surrounding district is an area of real outstanding scenery; from the soft rolling hills to the deep wooded valleys. The acid lime greenery in Spring is almost too sharp to the eye though it soon succumbs to the soft pastels of Summer and wonderful rusty colours of Autumn. Winter generally is dull and broody but often there are those brilliant crisp days when the snow dazzles and the pale blue sky soars upwards forever.
