Although in my commercial work I use a digital camera extensively, I have always believed the art of good drawing and draughtsmanship to be the backbone of creating painting. Having the skill to "see" and portray any object with accuracy is to me extremely important and because of this I have always attended (and occasionally run) life drawing classes.
