Lake Burwain is one of the "feeder" reservoirs for the Leeds and Liverpool Canal though nowadays it supports many leisure activities.
Blacko Tower is a curious edifice with many stories as to its origin. It is commonly believed that it was built to provide a view from coast to coast across the width of England - though Pendle Hill does seem a better option! |
